Ric Ric, along with three other siblings was in a field by a dumpster to a feral mom torti cat. A Save Our Strays (SOS) volunteer heard about their dilemma and went out to trap these little babies. A maintenance worker on the property said that these kittens, once weaned, had to scavenge for food at the dumpster. Also, some of the kids and teens on the property spotted them and decided that they would try to catch them so they could get them and drown them in a nearby pond! (Evidentially something that has happened before at the property were the kittens were born—how sad.) Fortunately our volunteer was able to get all four babies quickly, but of course they were all scared to death.
Two SOS volunteers have spent as much time as they’ve needed to get these precious kittens calmed down, used to human contact, learning to love our world and what it means to love the kitty life with us. All of four, three boys and one girl, have been tested for feline AIDS and leukemia and are negative (fine!), they have been neutered and spayed, have their shots, and have been dewormed. They are clean as a whistle and don’t mind getting their nails trimmed! They are amazing.
Ric Ric, a brown and black tabby loves to be stroked and petted; he loves your interaction with him and will play for hours. He wouldn’t even mind being adopted with one of his siblings, Mr. Peanut or Raya. They are all wonderful babies who need their forever homes!
Ric Ric would love to hear from your family. Questions, or interested? Please email reginagumbina@fuse.net. We look forward to hearing from you! If you can't reach Regina, contact our adoption coordinator at soscats@zoomtown.com. Posted 12/15/08
